Chapter 2: PPC Strategies that Kill the CompetitionI know what you're thinking: "Not another guy telling me how to write pay per click ads on Google." (Sidenote: If you've never experimented with Google Adwords, check out: AdWords Confessions. It will blow you away.) The Rich Jerk does tell you how to write ads for Google, but it's not what you think. He doesn't give you a zillion different strategies that clog your head, he only gives you what works. For example, here are the same "rehashed" ppc tips that everyone else gives you:
The Rich Jerk doesn't give you any of that same old stuff. He just tells you how to write ads his way. Aka the right way. One word: genius. He gives you a table with common ads compared to his ads. Without question, his ads are more interesting. They STAND OUT. ![]() His ads create that "hey what's this?" feeling inside you, while the other ones are the same boring crap you see everyday. His tactic is so simple you'll be wondering why you weren't able to come up with it yourself. I did a few common keyword searches in Google and looked at the ads that were displayed. Instantly I recognized the typical style that 99% of people follow when they write their ads. It's ALWAYS the same. The Rich Jerk's ads are just the complete opposite. They are VERY unusual and they attract attention, creating that urge to click them. Apart from writing killer ppc ads, The Rich Jerk also shows you a brilliant strategy to monetize Google AdSense. I thought his idea here was good, however it does require a bit of work on your part. And no it's not just setting up your own article site. It's another one of those: "Why didn't I think of that before?" moments. It's on page 17. Next: Chapter 3 ![]()
